Since early childhood, Janna Dawdy always had an entrepreneurial spirit. As a first generation Canadian, Dawdy looked up to her Nonna, an extremely hardworking business owner. After years of side hustles, Dawdy earned her first role in the financial industry as a bank teller as a high school co-op placement. She quickly fell in love with both the numbers and the problem-solving aspects of the job. Dawdy invested the next several years of her career working her way through many positions at different banks, gaining experience and knowledge.

After starting her family, she decided to return to the workforce after her second child. Janna knew in her heart that she wanted to be a Mortgage Agent ever since she purchased her first home back in 1998. She threw herself into what it meant to be a great mortgage agent, learning from her mentors, but Dawdy did something that most business owners are too scared to do.

She put every ounce of her time, energy and profits back into her business in the form of client appreciation. Through countless hand-written letters, gift drop-offs, community charity events and giveaways, she realized what she had been doing is what the industry was desperately missing: Client Care Excellence. This soon became Janna’s hallmark.

Over years of investing and trusting in her process, Janna Dawdy became a very successful mortgage broker, earning awards like CMP Top 75 Broker in Canada (2017-2024) and CMP Women of Influence (2016-2017, 2021-2022), garnering 400+ five-star reviews on Google from her trusted clients, and even establishing “JCMakes a Difference” – her very own charitable extension of her business.

Today, Janna Dawdy is the proud owner of JCMortgages.ca, while continuing to work hands-on with her many clients in the Waterloo Region and beyond. She is a loving wife and mother to four kids (plus a bonus!). Dawdy loves a good before and after, cooking for family (Italian-style) and loves home organization and decor!
